At Bradley (2006-09)
After redshirting the 2006 season, Van Kampen made three appearances between the pipes in 2007, then took over as the team's primary goalkeeper during the 2008 and 2009 seasons ... In his first career start, the 6-foot-4 netminder made three saves in a shutout performance at Memphis in the 2008 season-opener and he ended his career with 7.5 shutouts ... Boasting the program's fifth-best career goals against average (1.31) at the time of his graduation, Van Kampen came through with a career-best 10 saves in the quarterfinals of the 2008 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, helping the Braves earn a shootout victory against host Evansville to advance to the MVC Tourney semifinals for an 11th consecutive year ... His performance against Memphis in the 2008 season opener helped Van Kampen earn his first of two regular-season all-tournament team appearances, as well as the Bradley Country Scholar-Athlete of the Week award ... Majoring in communication with an emphasis in advertising, Van Kampen has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll five times.
