After biding his time behind former Bradley All-American keeper Chris Dunsheath, Mike Haynes made a successful debut as the team’s starting keeper last fall ... Became the first Braves keeper since 2001 not named Dunsheath to record a save in Bradley’s 2006 season-opener ... An honorable mention All-MVC pick, Haynes’ 1.04 goals against average and 6.0 shutouts both were the fifth-best single-season marks in school history ... In his postseason debut, Haynes used five saves to blank Drake in the 2006 MVC Tournament semifinals, then stopped one of Drake’s PK attempts in the postgame shootout to put the Braves in the championship game.
