Returned from an injury that forced her to sit out most of the 2003-04 season to play in all 28 games in 2004-05, and saw action in all but two contests last year ... A steady player, she teamed with fellow senior Amy Peters to give the Braves one of the top center combinations in the Missouri Valley Conference ... Started out the season slow, but started the last five games of the season, averaging 14.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 54.3 percent from the field ... Is expected to challenge for the starting spot at center and needs to appear in 25 games to break the Braves career mark for games played ... Ranks as Bradley’s active career scoring leader with 631 points and her career field goal percentage of 53.5 percent would be a school record.

 

2005-06 Season (Sophomore)

Still hampered by injuries to open the season, she missed the first two games of the season and saw limited minutes in the non-conference portion of the schedule ... Led the team in field goal percentage (.520) and free throw percentage (.809), while tying for the team lead in rebounding (5.3 per game) and blocked shots (16) ... Recovered from a sub-par sophomore season, to rank third on the team in scoring at 8.3 points per game, despite playing just 18 minutes a game ... Scored in double figures a total of nine times, including five consecutive times to end the year ... Ranked fourth in the MVC in field goal percentage and was one of only two players in the league to rank among the top 10 in both field goal and free throw percentage ... Closed the season strong, scorin 14 or more points in four of the last five games and pulling down nine or more rebounds four times in that same stretch ... Posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the Braves win against Wichita State ... Two games later she had season-highs of 20 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots in Bradley’s win at Creighton, helping end an 18-game losing streak in the series ... Averaged 11.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and shot 60 percent from the field in Bradley’s victories.

 

2004-05 Season (Sophomore)

Returned to action after receiving a medical hardship for the 2003-04 season ... Played in all 28 games, making one start as a sophomore ... Owned one of the top field goal percentages on the team, shooting 49 percent from the field and 74.4 percent from the free throw line ... After a slow start to the year, she came on strong toward the end averaging 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field in the final 14 games of the year ... Ranked fourth on the team in scoring at 6.2 points per game in Valley games and shot a team-best 49.4 percent in league action ... Scored a season-high 17 points against Indiana State, hitting 7-of-9 shots ... Had 14 points, six rebounds and a career-high three blocked shots in the Braves home win against Evansville ... Tied for third on the team with 12 blocked shots ... Made 23 of her final 28 free throw attempts.

 

2004 European Exhibition

Was injured during the Braves first exhibition game and was held out of the remaining contests on the trip.

 

2003-04 Season (Redshirt)

Missed the first eight games of the season with stress fractures in both feet ... Returned to play six games before being sidelined for the remainder of the season ... Was granted a medical hardship and retained three years of eligibility ... Scored 11 points to go along with six rebounds, one assist, one blocked shot and one steal at Indiana State.

 

2002-03 Season (Freshman)

Ranked second on the team, averaging 9.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game ... Became the first Bradley player to lead the Missouri Valley Conference in field goal percentage, shooting 56.5 percent from the field ... Named to the Valley’s All-Freshman team, she led the team in scoring (11.9 points) and rebounding (6.3 boards) in conference play ... After averaging 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, Chelleen posted a double-double at Drake (10 points, 11 rebounds) and helped limit pre-season All-American Carla Bennet to seven points and five rebounds .... Averaged 12.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 55.1 percent in the final 18 games of the season ...  Scored a season-high 21 points, including 14 in the first half, off the bench against Illinois State ... Chelleen hit 7-of-11 from the field and added seven rebounds, one blocked shot and two steals in the Braves 63-59 victory over the Redbirds ... Started a total of 16 games as a freshman and scored 268 points which ranks seventh among BU freshman marks.

 

High School

A first-team Central Iowa Metropolitan League pick as a senior, Chelleen shot 68.6 percent from the field and 76.9 percent from the free throw line ... Earned Class 4A all-district honors, Chelleen set Lincoln High School’s single-season rebounding record, hauling down 213 boards as a senior ... Helped the Railsplitters to a 24-1 record as a senior, averaging 14.0 points and team-high 8.5 rebounds per game ... Named third-team Class 4A all-state by the Des Moines Register ... Chelleen helped lead Lincoln to a #1 state ranking and a national ranking as high as seventh prior to regional playoffs, ending the season ranked ninth in the USA Today Midwest regional rankings ... Owns the career rebounding record at Lincoln High School and helped the Railsplitters to a 47-4 record in her final two seasons ... As a junior, she averaged 10.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 58.1 percent from the field and 76.6 percent from the free throw line.

The daughter of Greg and Mary Chelleen, Ashley is majoring in sociology  ... Born May 10, 1984 in Des Moines, Iowa ... Ashley’s younger sister Stephanie (20) is a junior on the women’s basketball team at Illinois ... She also has a younger brother Brandon (14) ... Was named to the Bradley Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Spring 2003 semester.
