After missing the first eight shots of her career, Magnuson settled in to connect on 12 of her final 27 attempts of the year (44.4 percent), including three of her final six three-pointers ... Joined Genny Mueller and Jen Brown as the only players on the roster to finish the year with more assists than turnovers ... Hit 5-of-6 shots in Bradley’s home win against Wichita State and finished with a season-high 12 points ... Had three points and a season-best three assists in 14 minutes against Loyola-Chicago ... Grabbed a season-high five rebounds to go along with five points in the Braves win at Carver Arena against Jackson State ... Played 10 minutes or more seven times.
High School
A two-year captain at White Bear Lake High School, Magnuson captured all-conference after helping the Bears to a 23-7 record as a senior ... Earned the Miss Bear Award, honoring the Most Outstanding Female Athlete at White Bear Lake H.S. after helping the Bears to the state tournament for the first time in 20 years... Averaged 9.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game as a senior ... Also shot 38 percent from three-point range as a senior ... A three-time all-conference selection, she garnered academic all-state honors ... Had her junior season cut short due to injury but still earned Suburban East all-conference honors, averaging 12.1 points and 3.3 steals per game ... Also averaged 3.8 assists and shot 38 percent from three-point range in 16 games ... A two-sport athlete, Magnuson also earned four letters in soccer in high school, garnering all-conference and all-state honors ... The daughter of Dan and Debbi Magnuson, Libby was born December 15, 1985 in St. Paul, Minn. ... One of three children, Libby has a younger brother; Ben (16) and older sister; Katie (22), who is on the cross country team at Oregon State ... Enrolled in Bradley’s award-winning Academic Exploration Program ... Her grandfather was a member of the Minnesota hockey team and also played baseball for the Golden Gophers.
