Former Marquette standout Hope Werch is the latest addition to the Bradley Volleyball staff with the Neenah, Wis., joining the Braves as an Assistant Coach in March 2022 after concluding her collegiate career in December.

Marquette’s all-time leader in service aces, Werch helped the Golden Eagles to four NCAA Tournament appearances (2017-19 & 2021), which included a Sweet 16 appearance during her sophomore campaign in 2018. The 2017 Big East Freshman of the Year, Werch was a three-time All-Big East selection in addition to garnering AVCA All-East Coast Region honors in 2019 along with honorable mention AVCA All-Region recognition during the recent 2021 campaign.

Werch wrapped up her time in Milwaukee, ranking fifth in Marquette history with 1,229 career kills and eighth with 1,178 digs to go with her school record 192 aces and is one of just two players in school history with 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She averaged 2.56 kills, 2.45 digs and 0.40 aces per set during her time with the Golden Eagles, pacing Marquette in kills per set (3.02) as a senior.Â

A five-time letterwinner at Marquette, Werch earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies in May 2021 in addition to completing work toward a master’s degree in sports leadership in December 2021.Â

Following the 2021 Fall season, Werch worked as a volunteer assistant at Marquette before coming to The Hilltop and also served as an operations intern for the Golden Eagles during the 2019 Spring season.Â
