Josie Jay is in her first year at Bradley as Assistant Sport Performance Coach. With the Braves, Jay works directly with the volleyball, cross country/track & field, men’s golf, women’s golf and tennis programs.
 
Jay joins The Hilltop after spending the 2020-21 campaign at Texas A&M University as the school’s Sport Performance Program Aid. During her time with the Aggies, Jay served as the interim sports performance coach for the equestrian program, while working with six teams overall – volleyball, softball, men’s and women’s swimming and diving and men’s tennis.
 
Prior to her time with the Aggies, Jay served as a strength and conditioning intern during the spring 2020 semester at the University of Texas, assisting the staff with the training of the volleyball, rowing and cheerleading teams. She also spent two years at Lamar University in 2018 and 2019 as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant, leading the efforts with men’s and women’s track and field, men’s and women’s tennis and football programs, while assisting with additional teams.
 
A Texas native, Jay graduated from Lamar with a bachelor’s in exercise science in 2017 before earning her master’s in kinesiology from the school in 2019. She is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and American Red Cross (CPR/AED/First Aid).
