Jimmy Munoz

Jimmy Munoz joined the Bradley Volleyball program as an assistant coach in February 2012 and is in his first year with the Braves.  Munoz came to The Hilltop after spending the previous year as head coach at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Ore.

A 2005 graduate of Long Beach State, Munoz boasts nine years of coaching experience at the prep and junior college levels; in addition to 11 years of coaching at the club level.

In his only season at Umpqua, Munoz led the Riverhawks to a 19-25 overall record in 2011 after inheriting a squad which went 7-33 in 2010. 

A California native, Munoz coached at the prep level for eight years in his home state; including the last seven as a head coach.  A Mater Dei High School graduate, he served as girl's volleyball head coach from 2007-10 and also coached the boy's team for his final two years at his alma mater. 

The 2009 conference coach of the year, he led the boy's squad to the 2009 CIF Division 2 State Championship and a combined 46-22 record.  As girl's coach he helped the Monarchs to a CIF quarterfinal appearance in his first season with the team. 

Munoz took over the volleyball teams at Mater Dei after spending the four previous years at Los Alamitos High School.  He joined the team as an assistant coach in 2003 and spent his final three seasons as head coach, leading the team to a 95-14 record.  A three-time coach of the year selection, Munoz led the Griffins to two Division 1 state titles and two Division 1 CIF championships during his three years as head coach. 

Munoz recently earned his Masters Degree in Education from National University.
