After ten seasons with Oakland University men's basketball in various roles, Colin Shannon is set to join the Bradley men's basketball staff as Director of Administration and Assistant General Manager.

During his four years as Director of Basketball Operations with the Golden Grizzlies, Oakland won a combined 54 horizon league regular season and post season games, the most in the conference. The program's success included a trip to the 2024 NCAA Tournament, where Oakland earned an upset victory over No. 3 seed Kentucky in the Round of 64. In his role Shannon oversaw travel, gear, compliance, nutrition, budget, and most notably fundraising as Oakland Men’s basketball broke fundraising records in all 4 years.

Prior to his role as Director of Basketball Operations, Shannon spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant. And before that, 1 season as assistant video coordinator. Shannon was also the Head Freshman and Junior Varsity Basketball Coach at Royal Oak Shrine High School.

During his undergraduate years at Oakland University, he worked as a manager for the men's basketball program. Shannon established the Laura Joseph Shannon Endowment for Student Managers at Oakland University in honor of his late mother. The endowment provides scholarships yearly to senior men’s basketball managers at Oakland University.
