Box Score PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior Lindsay Stalzer had 20 kills and broke the Bradley season kills record in a three-game loss at Creighton Saturday as the Bradley volleyball team fell 23-30, 24-30, 23-30 to the Bluejays in Omaha, Neb. Stalzer broke Abigail Kohnen's 1999 school season kills record with her 20-kill effort Saturday.
Stalzer became the first player in Bradley history to record 500 kills in a season, posting 20 kills and hitting .357 against the Bluejays. She also passed former teammate Stephanie Behrns for fourth place on the Bradley career kills list, upping her career total to 1,207.
Freshman Bethany Dulle had nine kills and 12 digs, but no other Bradley player had more than five kills as the Braves hit .150 on the night, compared to a .341 attack percentage for Creighton. Bradley fell to 8-20 overall, 2-15 in the Valley with the loss.
Junior Ashley Vance had 41 assists and five digs as she became the fifth player in program history to record 2,500 career assists. Junior Gillian Falknor had 14 digs to pace the Braves defensively and junior Briony Hammet added 12 digs as Bradley owned a 54-49 edge in digs.
Creighton was led by 17 kills from Carolyn Decker. Decker hit .6-7 on the night and was one of three Bluejays in double figures in kills. Leah Ratzlaff had 13 kills and 10 digs, while Ashley Williams added 10 kills and eight blocks.
Bradley closes out the 2004 season at home when the Braves play host to Northern Iowa Saturday, Nov. 20 at Robertson Memorial Field House. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
