JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Bradley tied the single-game school record with 24 hits for the second game in a row and rode the offensive outburst to its 10th consecutive win, a 16-3 victory versus Long Island (2-2) Monday night at the Kennel Club Classic at Florida Community College.

One day after beating Toledo 21-3, the Braves (10-2) continued their offensive surge versus the Blackbirds by scoring at least two runs in each of the first four innings. All 15 hitters to step to the plate for the Braves collected at least one of the 24 base hits, including a 3-for-4 performance by sophomore infielder Ryan Curry (Downers Grove, Ill./South H.S.). Justin Carr, Ryan Eigsti, Ryan Kenny, Brock Luxmore, Paul Rice, Jon Smith and Adam Uscicki all collected two hits.

Senior lefthander Derek Goins (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central H.S.) improved to 2-1 on the season by allowing three unearned runs on seven hits with six strikeouts in seven innings of work. Kevin Biringer and Josh Caruso each pitched an inning of scoreless relief.

The Braves got all the offense they needed by scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. Kenny, who was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week earlier in the day, started the rally by drawing a one-out walk. Rice followed with a single, and after the duo stole second and third, Canada drew a walk to load the bases. The first three runs came home on Jon Smith's 2-run single to center field and Bryan Burke's throwing error on the play. Smith then scored what proved to be the deciding run on a wild pitch.

Bradley's 10-game winning streak is the longest since the 1996 Braves also won 10 in a row from March 31 through the first game of an April 10 doubleheader at Illinois State. Bradley will face its stiffest test of the season Tuesday afternoon when the Braves visit Jacksonville (11-9). A win would give the Braves their longest winning streak since a 12-game ride during the 1993 campaign.
