LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Bradley senior infielder Jason Newburger (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills H.S.) was named to the 2006 Jewish Sports Review's College Baseball All-America Team, according to the July/August issue of the publication.

An honorable mention All-Missouri Valley Conference performer after splitting his time at first and third bases, Newburger earned first-team All-America honors at third base by the Jewish Sports Review.  In his first year as a starter, Newburger finished second on the team with a .327 batting average and four home runs.  He was named the Valley Player of the Week April 3 after hitting .727 with eight RBI during a three-game series at Southern Illinois.
