PEORIA, Ill. -- For the second time this season and the third time in his career, Bradley senior guard Jeremy Crouch (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) is the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office this morning.

Crouch helped the short-handed Braves (17-12, 9-7 MVC) to a pair of wins last week by averaging 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steal in the two games while making 10-of-16 (.625) of his 3-point field goal attempts.  In Tuesday's 72-71 win at #16 Drake, Crouch buried an 18-foot jumper with 11.4 seconds left to give the Braves their only lead of the second half. He finished with 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including a 6-for-8 effort from 3-point range, and added six assists and four rebounds while playing on a swollen left knee that threatened to prevent him from competing. He came back with 24 points, a career-best eight rebounds, five assists and two steals in Saturday's 84-72 win against Wisconsin-Milwaukee while playing a complete 40 regulation minutes for the first time in his career.

Crouch, who also was named MVC Player of the Week Dec. 3, 2007 and Nov. 13, 2006, is enjoying one of the best all-around statistical seasons in recent Bradley history, boasting 431 points (14.9 ppg), 109 rebounds (3.8 rpg), 87 assists (3.0 apg) and 44 steals (1.5 spg) so far this year.  With six more steals he will join Bradley greats James Gillingham, Rob Dye, Hersey Hawkins and Mitchell Anderson as the only players in 30 years Bradley has tracked steals to record 400 points, 100 rebounds, 75 assists and 50 steals in a season.

Bradley will close out its 2007-08 regular-season home schedule with an early start Tuesday night versus Southern Illinois (16-12, 10-6 MVC). The game against the Salukis will tip off at 6 p.m. to accommodate the national television broadcast on ESPN2. Bradley's three seniors ? Daniel Ruffin, Matt Salley and Jeremy Crouch ? will be honored in a pregame ceremony to begin at approximately 5:45 and the trio will address the crowd after the game.

In addition to the Senior Night ceremony, the Bradley Braves Club is sponsoring its second Tuesday Tailgate Party of the year in the Peoria Civic Center Exhibit Hall. Doors will open at 3 p.m. for the Tuesday Tailgate Party, which is open to the public, and will include food and beverages and a pep rally with the Bradley Band and Cheerleaders. Dan DiOrio also will broadcast his Braves Plus pregame show from the Exhibit Hall.
