PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley opened a three-match homestand with a 25-12, 25-19, 25-11 loss to Missouri Valley Conference rival Creighton Friday night at Renaissance Coliseum.  The Bluejays used a potent offensive attack, hitting .389 as a team and collected eight service aces to top the Braves.

BU could not keep pace with Creighton in the first set, as the Bluejays hit .524 in the frame and never trailed in a 25-12 opening set win.  Alicia Runge led Creighton with five kills in the opener, while Allie Oelke accounted for three of the Bluejays' six aces in the first set.

The Braves (4-18 overall, 0-10 MVC) pulled even in the second set at 13-13 on an Amy Angelos (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan) service ace, but Creighton (13-7 overall, 8-2 MVC) answered with a 7-2 spurt highlighted by a pair of Megan Bober kills to put the Bluejays in front 20-15.  Bradley got no closer than four points the remainder of the set as Bober closed out a 25-19 Creighton win with her third kill of the set.

The Bluejays heated up again in the third set, hitting .407 as a team and raced out to an early 10-2 lead.  Creighton extended its lead to as many as 15 points in the frame and closed out the match with a 25-11 victory.

Junior Annie Cave (Easton, Ill./Illini Central) led the Braves with seven kills, while juniors Genevieve and Rachelle Dejean (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) paced the squad with seven digs each.
