OMAHA, Neb. -- Sophomore Amy Angelos (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan) had a season-best 14 kills and hit .452 on the night, but Bradley couldn't keep pace with a hot-hitting Creighton team which hit .371 to top the Braves 25-20, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18 Friday at D.J. Sokol Arena.

Angelos had a match and season high, collecting 14 kills on 31 attacks with no errors, and was one of three Bradley players with a season high in kills.  The Braves (7-10 overall, 1-7 MVC) hit just .192 against Creighton (11-9 overall, 6-2 MVC) and were slowed down by a Bluejay defense which owned a 65-52 advantage in digs and 6-1 edge in blocks.

Bradley fought from behind for much of the opening set, trailing 19-13 before making a late push.  Freshman Madison Kamp (Orland Park, Ill./Chicago Christian) served up back-to-back aces to cap a 5-0 BU run which pulled the Braves within a point at 19-18.  With Bradley down 20-19, Creighton setter Megan Bober sparked a 4-0 run with a kill and helped power the Bluejays to a 25-20 win.

The Braves received kills from senior Annie Cave (Easton, Ill./Illini Central), freshman Allie Falter (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Pius X) and junior Madelyn Ervin (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy) during a 6-1 spurt early in the second set to build a 13-8 advantage.  Creighton got no closer than three points down the stretch as Bradley hit .382 in the second frame and pulled even in the match with a 25-21 victory.

After the intermission, Creighton hit a combined .550 in the next two sets, including .640 in the third en route to the victory.  The Bluejays tallied 17 kills with just one hitting error in the third frame as they cruised to a 25-15 win.  Creighton cooled off to .486 in the fourth frame, but had 19 kills in the set and took the set 25-18 to close out the match.

Ervin joined Angelos in double figures, notching a season-best 12 kills; while sophomore Alise Tupuritis (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) added 11 kills and hit .323.  Lincoln, Neb., native Allie Falter had a season-high seven kills in her first career match in her home state.  Kamp collected her team-leading fifth double-double of the year (44 assists & 11 digs) and senior Rachelle Dejean (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) led BU with 12 digs.

Megan Bober led Creighton with her fourth triple-double of the season, finishing with 13 kills, 25 assists and 10 digs.  Laurel Sanford matched Bober for team high honors with 13 kills, while Leah McNary added 11 kills.  Julianne Mandolfo led the Bluejays' defensive efforts with a match-high 21 digs.

Bradley closes out a three-match Missouri Valley Conference road swing Saturday with a 7 p.m. match at Drake in Des Moines, Iowa.
