CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Bradley couldn't keep pace with a high-powered Northern Iowa offensive attack, as the 12th-ranked Panthers hit .340 and topped the Braves 25-22, 25-11, 25-18 at the McLeod Center Friday.

Senior Annie Cave (Easton, Ill./Illini Central) paced BU with eight kills and hit .421 in the match to lead Bradley's offensive attack.  Senior Rachelle Dejean (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) finished with a match high 16 digs.

Bradley (7-9 overall, 1-6 MVC) led 17-16 in the opening set after an Amy Angelos (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan) kill, but Northern Iowa's Bre Payton had a kill and block to spark a 4-0 spurt to put the Panthers ahead 20-17.  UNI held a 22-20 lead when back-to-back Panther kills made the score 24-20 and Northern Iowa eventually took the opening set 25-22 on a BU service error.

The Panthers took control of the second set early in the frame, using a 10-3 lead to build a 16-7 advantage.  Megan Lehman notched three of her five second-set kills during the run and helped power Northern Iowa (17-1 overall, 7-0 MVC) to a 25-11 win.  The Panthers hit .682 in the second set, collecting 16 kills with just one attack error.

UNI's Shelby Kintzel opened the third set with three consecutive kills to help the Panthers to a 4-0 lead and Northern Iowa eventually extended the advantage to as many as 10 points (22-12).  Junior Madelyn Ervin (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy) notched a pair of kills to highlight a 6-2 BU spurt, but a Bradley attack error closed out a 25-18 UNI win to complete the sweep.

Kintzel was one of four Northern Iowa players with eight or more kills, finishing with 10 kills while attacking at a .529 clip.  Lehman added nine kills and the duo of Michelle Burrow and Krista DeGeest both finished with eight kills to pace the Panthers.

Bradley continues a three-match Missouri Valley Conference road swing next Friday with a 6:30 p.m. match at Creighton in Omaha, Neb.
