WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue scored in each of the first five innings and ended Bradley's five-game winning streak with a 12-1 non-conference college baseball victory on a frigid Sunday afternoon at Lambert Field.

The Boilermakers (15-8) earned a split in the weather-shortened weekend series, bouncing back from Friday's 9-4 Bradley (14-7) win in Peoria with a 16-hit attack Sunday.

Senior centerfielder Brian Martin collected two of Bradley's six hits, including a ninth-inning triple.  He scored when freshman Eric Paulson followed with a single for his first career college RBI.

The Bradley pitching duo of sophomore John Nasshan (2-2) and junior Jacob Booden entered Sunday's game with a combined 5-1 record, 2.23 earned run average and .183 opponent batting average, but the Boilermakers touched Nasshan for five runs on seven hits in his 2.0 innings and tagged Booden for seven more runs on six hits in 2.1 innings.  Purdue leadoff hitter Tyler Spillner set the tone by going 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored, while second baseman Eric Charles (2-for-5) and first baseman Ryan Bridges (1-for-4) both drove in three runs.

Already with two five-game winning streaks and off to their best start since 2005, despite playing 20 of their first 21 games away from home, the Braves will return to O'Brien Field for a 3-game home stand next weekend against Western Illinois.  Friday's series opener is slated for 6 p.m. at O'Brien Field.
