FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Bradley led preseason Conference USA favorite Tulane 46-39 early in the second half, but the Green Wave used a 14-2 run to go in front midway through the period and held on for a 74-69 victory against the Braves Friday afternoon at the Northern Arizona Thanksgiving Classic.

Senior Katie Yohn (Elgin, Ill./St. Edward) scored 13 of her season-high 17 points in the second half to lead Bradley (2-3 overall) in the setback.  Freshman Jenny Smith (Pewaukee, Wis./Arrowhead) added a season-best 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting and junior Catie O'Leary (Janesville, Wis./Parker/Wisconsin) collected 10 points and 10 boards for her second double-double of the year.

The Braves led by as many as nine points in the first half and held a 34-33 lead at the break as Smith scored 11 of her 15 points in the opening 20 minutes to lead BU early on.

Yohn capped a 10-1 run early in the second half with a pair of free throws to give BU a 44-37 lead less than five minutes into the stanza.  After the teams traded baskets, Danielle Blagg opened a 14-2 Green Wave run with a three-pointer as Tulane (4-0 overall) went in front 53-48 nearing the midway point of the half.

The Tulane lead stood at six points (64-58) when Bradley made a push.  Yohn found junior Alyson Spinas-Valainis (Davenport, Iowa/Assumption) for a layup and a Smith jumper with 3:12 to play made it a one possession game at 64-62.

Tulane's Olivia Grayson answered with a hoop and scored the final 10 points of the game for the Green Wave, including 6-of-6 free throw attempts in the final 30 seconds to help her squad hold off the Braves down the stretch.

Bradley committed a season-low 14 turnovers and made 14-of-16 free throw attempts in the loss.  Tulane entered the game shooting 63 percent from the charity stripe, but made 23-of-28 attempts (82.1 percent), including 15-of-18 in the second half.

Grayson led the Green Wave in scoring with 12 points.  Whitney Bibbins added 11 points off the bench, helping the Tulane reserves outscore the Bradley bench 42-30.
