The Storyline
Facing its earliest opening day in the program's 112-year history, Bradley will begin the 2012 season this weekend by playing in a triangular event with Virginia Tech and host Kennesaw State ... Elvis Dominguez begins his fourth year as Bradley's head coach with a veteran squad that returns 20 lettermen, including seven position starters and eight pitchers, from the 2011 squad that finished 22-32 overall ... Bradley will play its first 18 games, as well as 25 of its first 27, away from home ... The Braves are meeting both Virginia Tech and Kennesaw State for the first time in program history.

Bradley is 3-19 all-time against teams from the Atlantic Sun Conference, including a 3-18 road record against the A-Sun ... 14 of the 22 all-time games have been played in Nashville against neighboring league rivals Belmont (0-6) and Lipscomb (1-7) ... Most recently, the Braves dropped both ends of a 2-game set Feb. 19-20, 2011 at Lipscomb, 4-3 in 13 innings and 9-5.
