NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Arkansas-Little Rock (5-2) managed only one run on four hits against Bradley starter Justin Ziegler, but the Trojans roughed up five Braves relievers for six runs on 12 hits in the final five innings for a 7-5 victory Sunday morning at Rose Park.

Ziegler continued a strong weekend by Bradley's starting pitching, allowing one run on four hits and striking out five in his 4.0 innings.  The Braves entered the game with a plan to split the work between Ziegler and Tory Doerr, but the senior lefthander gave up four runs on six hits in 1-plus innings.

UALR pulled into a 3-3 tie with two runs in the fifth inning, then pulled ahead by pushing across two more runs on four consecutive hits to open the sixth and chase Doerr.

The Trojans answered Bradley's seventh-inning run with single runs in the top of the eighth and ninth innings for a 7-4 lead, then held on as the Braves brought the go-ahead run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth.

Senior second baseman Rob Elliott, who extended his hitting streak to eight games with a 2-for-3 performance, led off the ninth with a double to centerfield.  After left fielder Mike Tauchman followed with his second walk of the game, Jason Leblebijian struck out swinging and Greg Partyka went down looking.  Derek Sprout kept the game alive by reaching on an error by the UALR catcher that allowed Elliott to score from second, but closer Bryson Thionnet nailed down the save by fanning Braves pinch-hitter David Compitello.

The Braves, who took 2-of-3 games during their weekend in Nashville against UALR and host Belmont, will return to the Volunteer State next weekend for a 3-game series at Memphis.  The series opener is slated for 6:30 p.m. Friday.
