ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Bradley senior forward Taylor Brown (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody H.S.) has been voted honorable mention All-Missouri Valley Conference in a league-wide vote of The Valley's head coaches, sports information directors, primary beat writers  and radio play-by-play announcers.

Brown, who tied for sixth in the voting for the MVC Larry Bird Player-of-the-Year Award with one third-place vote, is the league's sixth-leading scorer at 14.8 points per game and ninth-leading rebounder at 6.4 boards per game.  He was averaging 16.7 points and 7.0 rebounds until suffering an injury to his right (shooting) wrist Feb. 1 against Evansville, then missed the season's final three games when he partially tore a ligament in his right big toe while making a steal Feb. 15 against Drake.

Brown's status for the MVC Tournament continues to be evaluated.  He was the only Bradley player to earn all-conference accolades Tuesday.  The league office will announce the 2012 MVC All-Bench and Most-Improved Teams Wednesday and the Scholar-Athlete Team March 6.

The Braves (7-24, 2-16 MVC) are the No. 10 seed for this week's State Farm MVC Tournament at the Scottrade Center and will take on No. 7 seed Drake (16-14, 9-9 MVC) in a first-round game at 8:35 p.m. Thursday.  A rematch of the same game in the 2011 tournament, Thursday's game will be televised by the MVC-TV Network, though it will not be available on FS Midwest in Central Illinois due to a conflict with the St. Louis Blues game.  The telecast will air on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, as well as FS Indiana, FS Kansas City (outside Blues viewing areas), and will be streamed online by ESPN3.
