TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – First baseman Greg Partyka drove in the go-ahead run with a 2-out double in the sixth inning and designated hitter/third baseman Josh Camalick followed with a RBI single, lifting Bradley (17-29, 2-18 MVC) to an 8-6 Missouri Valley Conference baseball win at Indiana State (23-23, 8-11 MVC) Friday night at Bob Warn Field.

Camalick collected a career-high four hits to pace Bradley's 14-hit attack.  Shortstop Curtiss Bunch was 3-for-5 and center fielder Max Murphy broke out of his MVC hitting slump by belting his sixth home run of the year and adding a double.  MVC Player-of-the-Year candidate Mike Tauchman was 1-for-3, walked and was hit by a pitch to reach safely three times in his five plate appearances.

A night after Bradley fell behind early, but fought back to tie the game three times in an eventual 9-5 loss, Bradley took Friday's first-inning lead, then had the answer each time Indiana State fought back.

Tauchman's first-inning single briefly pushed his 20-game conference batting average over .500 and he scored the game's first run on Camalick's 2-out single.  Murphy came home one batter later when Elliot Ashbeck reached on an error.

After Indiana State plated three runs in the home half of the first, Bradley reclaimed the lead with a 4-run outburst in the third.  The rally started with Murphy's leadoff home run.  Catcher Austin Jarvis added a 2-run single and eventually scored on a Brady Wilkin single.

The Sycamores again pulled even with one run in the third and two in the fourth, but the Braves took the lead for good, 7-6, when Murphy and Partyka hit back-to-back singles in the sixth.  Camalick followed with his third base hit to plate Partyka for the 8-6 advantage.

Bradley's third pitcher of the game, right-hander Patrick Flanagan (1-1) earned the win by holding Indiana State scoreless on two hits in 4.1 innings.  Ashbeck worked around a 1-out single in the ninth to earn his first career save.

The teams will close out the regular season with a noon (CST) game Saturday at Bob Warn Field.
