CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - TCU used a 7-0 run to pull away from a 44-44 tie and held on for a 57-49 win against Bradley(2-3) in the semifinals of the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic Friday night at American Bank Arena.

Bradley will face the loser of Friday's second semifinal between Saint Louis and Mississippi State in the 3:30 p.m. consolation game Saturday. The consolation game will not be televised.

The Horned Frogs (6-0) came into the game averaging 83.6 points, outscoring their first five opponents by 27.2 points per game, while shooting 50.5 percent from the field and 46.6 percent from 3-point range, and outrebounding their opponents by 12.6 boards per game. Bradley's recent trend of tough defense limited TCU to 57 points on 37.5 percent (15-40) shooting from the floor, including 12.5 percent (2-16) from the 3-point range, and the Braves finished with a 32-27 rebounding edge. A cold-shooting free throw team through the first give games (.613), TCU overcame the numbers by making 25-of-33 (.758) free throw attempts Friday.

Bradley senior forward Auston Barnes scored a game-high 19 points and junior guard Warren Jones scored 10 points off the bench, including a 3-pointer with 9:27 left to cap a 12-3 Bradley run that gave the Braves their first lead, 42-41, since it was 4-2.

TCU guard Kyan Anderson entered the game by leading the Horned Frogs in scoring at 15.4 points per game on 60.0 percent shooting from the field and 54.5 percent from 3-point range. Anderson shared team-high honors with 10 points, but was 1-for-10 from the field, 0-for-8 from 3-point range. Kenrich Williams added 10 points, highlighted by a baseline dunk with 1:30 remaining for a 53-47 TCU lead.

Bradley suffered from a rash of bad breaks in the first half. In addition to the Braves going nearly 11 minutes without a basket, TCU banked in two 17-foot jumpers shots and were allowed to count another 19-footer that unreviewed replays showed came after the shot clock expired.

The Horned Frogs took advantage of the good fortune by building a 26-13 lead with 2:36 left in the first half. The Braves continued to battle, however, closing the half on an 8-2 mini-run, capped by a Barnes 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer.
