DAYTON, Ohio - Bradley Baseball's late-inning magic continued in the first game of the day Saturday at the UD/WSU Tournament, where the Braves (9-2) scored four times in the ninth inning for an 8-5 win against Dayton (3-8) at Wright State's Nischwitz Stadium.

Bradley has outscored its opposition 58-11 after the fifth inning this season and Saturday's ninth-inning rally marked the team's eighth come-from-behind win in the season's first 11 games.

Bradley pulled into a 4-4 tie in the top of the fifth when Brady Wilkin opened the frame with a solo home run and Max Murphy and Greg Partyka later added consecutive doubles.

Ryan Berry gave Dayton the lead again, 5-4, with a solo home run in the sixth and it appeared Bradley's run of rallies might be exhausted when the Braves stranded two runners without scoring in both the seventh and eighth innings. But the Braves made another run at the Flyers in the ninth, benefitting from a lack of control by the Flyers bullpen and a pair of clutch base hits.

Spencer Gaa started the ninth by drawing a leadoff walk, then stole second as Murphy struck out to get into scoring position with one out. Partyka walked and Tyler Leffler was hit by a pitch to load the bases with one out. Flyers reliever Nate Harris caught Drew Carlile looking for the second out, but he plunked Austin Jarvis to plate the tying run. Isaac Smith then beat out an infield single to put the Braves ahead, 6-5, and Wilkin followed with a 2-run single for an 8-5 advantage.

Freshman Matt Dennis started the bottom of the ninth on the mound for the Braves and tossed a perfect frame to earn his first career save.

Bradley will have little time to celebrate Saturday's latest rally as the Braves will be back in action right away against Wright State.
