SCHEDULE UPDATE
HUNTSVILLE – Sam Houston State and Bradley will play Friday's opener as scheduled but adjustments have been made for the remainder of the series.
The squads will play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. from Don Sanders Stadium. The changes, made to accommodate flight arrangements for Bradley, will move Sunday's originally scheduled game to 30 minutes following the competition of Saturday's Game 1.

THE OPENING PITCH
• For the second time in the first three weeks of the season, Bradley Baseball ventures to the Lone Star State for a 3-game weekend series.
• The Braves opened the season by taking 2-of-3 games at first-time opponent Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, while this weekend Bradley will face another first-time opponent - Sam Houston State - in a 3-game road series.
• Bradley is 6-4 versus the Southland Conference since the start of the 2015 season and the Braves are 9-7 all-time against the league's current 13-team membership.
• Bradley has started the season by scoring at least seven runs in each of the first six games, a scoring streak it has not enjoyed since a 6-game stretch from March 28-April 4, 2004.
• Sophomore outfielder Jean-François Garon has opened the season on a power surge, blasting a Missouri Valley Conference best five home runs in his first six games of the year (Bradley's 2016 HR leader was Andy Shadid, who paced the Braves with seven homers).
FOUR YEARS AWAY FROM HOME
• Since the start of the 2014 season, Bradley ranks second in the Missouri Valley Conference by accumulating 66 wins away from home.
• Bradley's 66 road (37) and neutral (29) wins away from home the last four seasons represent 71.7 percent of the team's 92 total wins the last four years.
• Bradley is scheduled to play at least 32 games away from home this season, including the first 18 to start the seasoN.
TEXAS ROAD TRIPS
• After opening the 2017 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Bradley Baseball now has played in the Lone Star State for a third consecutive season.
• After this weekend's visit to Sam Houston State, the Braves will return to Texas a third time to face #23 Dallas Baptist in a 3-game Valley series May 12-14.
• By winning 2-of-3 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Bradley is 5-5 in Texas the last three seasons, also splitting four games during the 2016 Irish Alamo Classic and earning one win in the 2015 Valley series at DBU.
AGAINST THE SOUTHLAND
• With six games on tap against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Sam Houston State, Bradley continues a recent run of games against the Southland Conference.
• The Braves are 6-4 against hte Southland the last three years - a collective 4-2 in two trips to McNeese State (3-0 in 2015, 1-2 in 2016), 0-1 against Incarnate Word during the 2016 Irish Alamo Classic and 2-1 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi two weeks ago.
