DALLAS - Dallas Baptist ended Cole Cook's scoreless streak at 12.0 innings by erupting for five runs on six hits in the fourth inning and the Patriots (32-18, 12-5 MVC) and three DBU pitchers limited Bradley (19-27, 5-12 MVC) to three hits in a 6-1 victory Saturday afternoon at Horner Ballpark.

Dallas Baptist outhit Bradley 12-3 to secure the series victory.  The teams will conclude the weekend set with a 1 p.m. contest Sunday afternoon at Horner Ballpark.

For the second game in a row, Bradley took an early lead.  Evan Gruener drew a leadoff walk to open the third inning and after moving around the bases on a sacrifice bunt by Andy Shadid and groundout by Luke Shadid, he scored when Spencer Gaa beat out an infield single for Bradley's first hit of the game.

Cook (L 7-5) came into Saturday's start off of a 6-hit shutout last week in a victory against Evansville, but the Patriots roughed him up in the fourth inning.  DBU opened the fourth with an Austin Listi double and Matt Duce single to pull even, 1-1, and Friday hero Tim Millard added the go-ahead single later in the inning.

Jordan Martinson (W 7-3) earned the win by limiting the Braves to the lone run on three singles in his 6.0 innings of work.  Although the combination of Jimmy Fouse and Gavin Fritz combined to walk three, they did not allow a hit in their 3.0 innings of scoreless relief.

Gaa finished 2-for-4 for the Braves and Andrew Ivelia added Bradley's third hit.
