Bradley Track Opens Indoor Season at Eastern Illinois

The Bradley track team will send a small number of runners to the EIU Early Bird Meet on Friday.

BRAVES LINEUP
Five Braves are slated to compete on Friday – Hannah Ivy, Emma Makowski, Laura Stuart, Keina Suggs and Soren Umali.

EARLY RISERS
The Braves are getting an early start on the track season for the first time in years. The last time that Bradley opened the indoor campaign in December was during the 2008-09 year with a Dec. 5 meet at Iowa State.

2019 INDOOR RECAP
The Bradley men are coming had their most successful indoor season in school history in 2019, scoring a school-record 86 points at the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championship. Michael Ward led BU with two championships, while Alec Hartman and Jake Hoffert highlight the returnees as all-conference individuals.

The Bradley women's championship was highlighted by claiming the first DMR title in school history. McKenzie Altmayer and Hannah Ivy both return after reaching the podium in the event, while Altmayer also earned all-conference honors in the 3,000m as Bradley more than doubled its point total from 17 in 2018 to 41 last year.

UP NEXT
Bradley is off for more than a month before returning to action at Eastern Illinois with the John Craft Invitational on Jan. 18.
