MONTGOMERY, AL – Riding the momentum of Friday's 18-1 rout, Bradley Baseball (5-3) started hot Saturday en route to an 11-7 win to clinch its weekend series against Alabama State (2-10) at Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.

Senior OF Dan Bolt, who reached base safely in all seven of his Friday night plate appearances, extended his streak Saturday by blasting a 3-run home run in the first inning and adding a RBI double in the second as the Braves raced out to an 8-0 lead through the middle of the third inning.

While the Hornets battled back to score seven runs off Bradley starter Brooks Gosswein with three in the third and four in the fourth, the Bradley bullpen once again closed the door on the opposing offense.  Senior RHP Jed Moscot (2-0) earned the win by allowing just three hits in 5.1 scoreless innings.  After the Hornets threatened in the ninth by putting two on with one out on an error and a single, closer Theron Denlinger finished off the hosts on a strike out and fly out to earn his second save.

Both teams finished the night with 10 hits, but Bradley's batters also worked four Alabama State pitchers for nine walks and three hit-by-pitches.  Senior 3B Brendan Dougherty was 0-for-2, but reached base safely four times from his leadoff position on three walks and a HBP, and he was one of three Braves to score two runs.  Freshman CF Ryan Vogel also reached safely four times with two hits and two walks, while sophomore 1B Connor O'Brien added a pair of RBI singles in his 2-for-5 effort.

Riding a streak of four consecutive wins, Bradley will play for the series sweep Sunday when the two teams meet in the noon finale at Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex.
