Bradley Baseball Drops Rubber Game to Wright State

Peoria, Ill. – The Bradley baseball team fell in the decisive game of a three-game set to Wright State on Sunday afternoon, 20-5. The Braves are now 9-17 in 2022, while the Raiders improve to 14-15.
 
Sophomore Jackson Chatterton led BU with two hits and three RBI on the day.
 
On a windy day in Dozer Park, Wright State connected on three home runs in the first three innings – driving in 10 runs on the long ball en route to a 13-3 lead. Overall, the Raiders scored at least one run in each of the first six innings to secure the series victory with a 20-5 win.
 
Following the game, Bradley held its annual head-shaving contest in support of the Vs. Cancer Foundation. The top fund-raising team in the country this season, Bradley has raised more than $25,000 this year to fund pediatric brain tumor research and child life programs at the Children's Hospital of Illinois. Overall, the Braves have collected more than $110,000 in their seven years working with the Vs. Cancer Foundation.
 
Bradley is back in action on Tuesday night, playing at SIU Edwardsville with a 5 p.m. first pitch.
