Peoria, Ill. -- Another successful weekend is in the books for the Bradley Track & Field team after they competed in three different locations on Saturday.
USATF Cross Country Championships Recap
Freshman
Peyton Schieppe brought home a seventh-place finish at the USATF Cross Country Championships in Richmond, Virginia. Schieppe competed in the U20 Women's 6K and finished with a time of 20:26.0.
Larry Wieczorek Invitational Recap
Wilma Nielsen captures another school record on Saturday, this time in the 800-meter race. With a time of 2:03.46, Wilma grabs her second school record in back-to-back weekends. Last weekend, she captured the school record in the 600m.
Julia Nielsen finished in the top 10 in the race with a time of 2:07.28.
Tiana LoStracco also ran in the event and finished inside the top 10 with a time of 2:08.14.
Cyclone Open Recap
The rest of the team competed at the Cyclone Open in Ames, Iowa and
Eli Rieker headlines this event for the Braves.
Rieker captured the school record for the men in the 60m with a time of 7.02. Rieker also finished in the top 10 in the 200m with a time of 22.78.
Leah Thames tied a school record on the women's side in the 60m with a time of 7.82.
George Watson finished in the top ten in the mile race with a time of 4:04.51.
Nicola Jansen finished in the top 10 in the women's mile with a time of 4:45.96 which is good for the second-best time in Bradley history.
Alec Danner rounds out the Cyclone Open results with a top 10 finish in the men's 3K race with a time of 8:09.60.
