The Braves and Sycamores met for the first time this year at the Renaissance Coliseum as Bradley continued their push for their first conference win.
The Braves scored over their season average with 60 points today, with an average of 36.8% from the floor and 76.5% from the free throw line, but the team struggled from deep, only shooting 22.7%.
Alex Rouse had a career game, setting a new personal best for points with 18. Rouse also had four rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals.
Caroline Waite put up 11 points, along with one rebound and two assists.
Daija Powell and
Isis Fitch both chipped in eight points a piece and had a combined 13 rebounds.
Indiana State couldn't get their threes to fall, shooting 20%, but they found their points by shooting 43.1% from the floor and 82.8% from the free throw line. Mya Glanton couldn't seem to miss, going 9 of 11 for 21 points. Anna McKendree had 14 points and four rebounds, while Chelsea Cain had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Bradley looked quick on defense, snagging 7 steals compared to Indiana State's three. The Braves also stuck around in other categories, only being out-rebounded by six and having six less assists. Fouls seemed to catch up with the Braves. They were called for 21 personal fouls while the Sycamores were called for 12.
