The Braves and Lady Bears met for the second time this season at the Renaissance Coliseum on Friday night.
The Braves fell behind 0-6 within the first two minutes of the game, but after a timeout, the team came out ready to play. Bradley outscored Missouri State in the first two quarters to take a 30-25 going into halftime. Heading back out for the second half, the Lady Bears were ready to battle and put the pressure on the Braves. After holding the lead for 65% of the game and trading baskets, the Braves found themselves fighting back when the Lady Bears took the lead but ultimately lost the game by 10 points.
Caroline Waite led the Braves with 19 points and one rebound.
Alex Rouse had 12 points, three rebounds and two assists.
Isis Fitch chipped in eight points, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Daija Powell scored eight points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out two assists and snagged one steal.
Missouri State saw a new side of Bradley they saw in their previous matchup when the Lady Bears won 87-54. Playing behind for most of the game, Missouri State often found themselves at the free throw line, shooting 14-of-17 from the line in the fourth quarter alone. Aniya Thomas, a pillar for the Lady Bears, had 19 points, five assists, two rebounds and one steal. Kennedy Taylor chipped in 15 points, five rebounds and one steal. Sydney Wilson recorded 14 points, three rebounds and five assists.
