NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Jayde Rosslee set a new program record in the men's 8K race at the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame as the Bradley Cross Country teams competed against some of the NCAA's best on Friday.
Rosslee completed the race in 23:30.2, shattering the old 8K program record by 16 seconds, previously set by Alec Danner at the Bradley Pink Classic in 2022.
Michael Rebello set the third-fastest time in program history, completing the race in 23:47.0. Elsewhere on the team,
Caden Simone (23:57.7, sixth-fastest) and
Jack Crull (24:03.7, eighth-fastest) also set top-10 marks in program history. As a team, the men placed 16th.
In the women's 5K race, the top three finishers for Bradley were a familiar sight.
Nadia Potgieter,
Kaitlyn Sheppard and
Abigail Hancock were the top Bradley finishers, with Potgieter completing the distance in 16:56.2. Her sub-17 minute time is good for the fourth-fastest in program history. Sheppard's 17:15.0 and Hancock's 17:16.7 marked the ninth- and 10th-fastest times in program history. As a team, the women placed 13th.
