PEORIA, Ill. – Bradley University is excited to host the best in the Midwest at the 2024 NCAA Midwest Regional at Newman Golf Course, the first NCAA regional competition in Peoria since 2018.
The Women's 6k race will begin at 11 a.m. CT., with the Men's 10k race estimated to begin at noon.
Peoria's Midwest regional is one of nine in the country. The top two teams in each race earn an automatic bid to the championship. The first four non-qualifying finishers will also receive a nationals spot.

LAST TIME OUT
Bradley men's and women's teams swept the Missouri Valley Conference Championships. This was the first time the Braves swept since 2022. The women entered as the favorites, as the men's team was projected to place third in the MVC.
In the women's 6k, Junior
Kaitlyn Sheppard's time of 20:27.2 earned her third place. Junior
Nadia Potgieter took seventh place, Senior
Abigail Hancock took ninth and Junior
Anna Perry took 10th place.
In the men's 8k, Sophomore
Jayde Rosslee took home third place, running a time of 23:25.0. The fifth-year tandem of
Michael Rebello and
Jack Crull crossed the finish line under two seconds apart, earning fifth and sixth place respectively.
LAST MIDWEST REGIONAL
Down in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 2023, the Braves men's squad took eighth place. The women's team took sixth, finishing atop all other MVC opponents.
Rebello led the men's squad placing 37th with a time of 31:35.1, as three Braves on the women's squad finished in the top 40.
THE LAST TIME THE REGIONAL CAME TO PEORIA
In 2018, the Midwest Regional was raced at the same place as this year's competition, Newman Golf Course in Peoria, IL. That year, the Bradley men's team took second place, punching their ticket to nationals. The women's team took ninth.
Both Iowa State's men's and women's teams took first place in the competition. Oklahoma State women's team took second to take the final ticket to nationals

Bradley Head Coach
Andrew Carlson was recently named MVC Coach of the Year for men's and women's cross country. It is the first time Carlson has been given the honor, his second season as head coach of the Braves.
This will be the second meet this year that nationally ranked runners will compete at Newman Golf Course. The first came in October during the 24th Bradley Pink Classic. During the last time meet in Peoria, Bradley's women's team took third and the men took eighth.
