ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the second time in three weeks,
Caleb Lind and
Kaitlyn Sheppard have been named Missouri Valley Conference Runners of the Week for Men's and Women's Cross Country, per the weekly MVC Cross Country Notebook released on Oct. 6.
Lind wins the men's honor after placing 24th in the Men's 8K Blue Race at the Joe Piane Invitational. Lind led all Braves with a time of 23:34.5, setting a new personal best and the third-fastest 8K time in program history. As a team, Bradley placed ninth out of 18.
Sheppard wins the women's honor after she finished 16th in the Women's 5K Blue Race at the Joe Piane Invitational. She paced the Braves with a time of 16:34.0, setting a personal best and running the second-fastest 5K time in program history. Bradley finished in seventh place out of 20 teams.
This is the third time this season Bradley has swept the weekly Cross Country awards. Braves have won weekly awards six times since Sept. 1: Sheppard has won three, Lind has won two and
JD Rosslee has won one.
