STARKVILLE, Miss. – Bradley Softball continued their season on the road at the Snowman: Alex Wilcox Memorial Tournament hosted by #19 Mississippi State, gaining valuable experience against tough competition.
The Braves started against Mississippi State on Friday, putting up a strong effort but ultimately falling 5-3. Bradley's offense came alive in the second inning, scoring three runs on six hits, highlighted by a home run from Ashley Breeding.
Later that day, Bradley faced Georgia Tech, struggling defensively in a tough 15-1 loss. Lauren DeRolf led the way with a triple and scored the team's only run.
On Saturday, the Braves rematched Mississippi State, showing improvements at the plate but dropping a 12-3 contest. Key contributors included Kierston McCoy with a double and two defensive assists.
Facing Georgia Tech again that same day, Bradley's pitching staff limited scoring early, but the Yellow Jackets secured a narrow 4-3 victory.
The weekend concluded on February 16 against North Texas, where Bradley struggled to generate offense against a strong pitching performance. The Braves managed just three hits while North Texas capitalized on early scoring opportunities to win 8-0.
The Braves are back on the road next week at the Hiltopper Classic hosted by Western Kentucky.
