Matthew Eggen Track & Field 2/16/2025 3:00:00 PM
BOSTON, Mass. – Four new program records and 14 new top ten times were set over the weekend as the Bradley Track & Field Record Book was once again rewritten after the Eagle Elite & David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston and the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Mich.

Jack Crull ran the third sub-four-minute mile of his career and second of February 2025 at the Eagle Elite. Crull lowered his personal- and school-best time from 3:57.20 to 3:55.93 and remains the only Bradley Track & Field athlete to run a mile in under four minutes. His time ranks as the fastest in the Missouri Valley and sixth-fastest in the Midwest.

Jayde Rosslee broke the 5000m program record at the Hemery Valentine Invite, securing another long-distance record in his brief Bradley career. Rosslee lowered his career-best by 37 seconds from 14:25.33 to 13:48.32. Rosslee also lowered the program record by 10 seconds.

Amiyah Davis set two new program records, besting her own 400m program record and breaking a two-year-old program record in the 200m. Davis lowered her 400m personal-best for the third consecutive week, going from 55.14 to 54.47. Davis dropped the 200m program record to 24.83 seconds, besting Leah Thames' 2023 program record of 24.96.

Kaitlyn Sheppard and Abigail Hancock ran the fourth- and fifth-fastest women's mile times in program history, completing the race in 4:43.27 and 4:43.46, respectively, in Boston. Trixie Wraith ran a 4:43.14 in the mile, while Ciara Thornley (4:51.98) and Rhune Vanroose (5:01.25) set new personal bests in the event.

Other notable performances in Boston include Hancock's 2:08.27 in the women's 800m, good for the fourth-fastest in program history, and Caleb Lind's 14:10.37 in the men's 5000m, the sixth-fastest time in program history.

The short distance events at Grand Valley State saw six additional top ten times set in addition to Davis' two school records. Roman Lewis set the fourth-fastest time in the men's 200m discipline with a 22.93. Carolina Martinez set a new personal best in the women's 400m for the fifth consecutive week, shaving nearly a full second off of her PB with a 55.55, while Julia de Palma Mendiguchia (58.53) and Hope Rajlich (58.60) set the eighth- and ninth-fastest time in program history. Jaxson Copelin set the second-fastest men's 800m time in program history with a 1:48.68 and Kaden Kingsmith ran the fourth-fastest time with a 1:49.99.
