NORMAL, Ill. – Bradley Track and Field stayed close to home and delivered a successful outing at the Normal Invite hosted by Illinois State on Saturday, April 12.
One program record and seven new personal bests were set throughout the day.
Julia de Palma Mendiguchia's program record lasted one week before she beat it again, running a 1:02.33 in the women's 400m hurdles to take gold in the event.
Amiyah Davis and
Carolina Martinez were neck and neck in the women's 400m, finishing first and second, respectively, with times of 54.84 and 56.06.
Hope Rajlich and
Syeira Campbell also set new personal bests in the women's 400m with their times of 58.44 and 58.48 to finish in sixth and seventh, respectively.
Olivia Redpath set a new personal best in the women's 100m with her time of 12.45.
Brayson Barth also set a new personal best with his time of 51.67
Carissa Hamilton posted finished third in the women's 1500m with her time of 4:35.42.
Sonja Inzinger and
Sophia Cino also competed in the women's 1500m, and both set new personal bests with their times of 4:39.70 and 4:42.71, respectively.
Ian O'Laughlin followed the success of his teammates by setting a new personal best in the men's 1500m with his time of 3:53.94.
Brandon Kamp ran a 9:32.95 in the men's steeple to set a new personal best for himself.

The Braves will make the trip to Charlottesville, Virginia, to compete in the Virginia Challenge on Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19.
