ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Caleb Lind and
Kaitlyn Sheppard have been named Missouri Valley Conference Runners of the Week for Men's and Women's Cross Country, per the weekly MVC Cross Country Notebook released on Sept. 22.
Lind wins the men's honor after placing first in the men's 8K race at the Bradley Intercollegiate. The senior from Lake St. Louis, Mo., completed the race in 24:06.3, roughly six seconds faster than second place. The victory was Lind's first of his career. Bradley finished first out of 23 teams, scoring 31 points.
Sheppard wins the women's honor after registering another first-place finish this season, winning the women's three-mile race at the Bradley Intercollegiate. The senior from England ran the race in 16:11.9, roughly 11 seconds faster than second place. Bradley scored a perfect 15 points and finished in first place as a team.
This is Lind's first Cross Country Runner of the Week honor of his career. This is Sheppard's second Cross Country Runner of the Week honor of the season, with the first coming on Sept. 1. The Braves have swept the weekly MVC Cross Country awards for the second time this season.
