Bloomington, Ind. – Bradley battled early but a decisive fourth inning by Indiana proved too much to overcome in a 15-3 setback on Sunday afternoon at Bart Kaufman Field.
The Hoosiers jumped in front in the bottom of the first. After reaching on an error, Moore came around to score when Denny launched a two-run home run to left, giving Indiana a quick 2-0 advantage.
Bradley answered in the second inning. Ashton Horchem reached after being hit by a pitch and later scored to cut the deficit to one. The Braves added another run in the fourth to trim the margin again, but Indiana responded with its biggest swing of the afternoon.
The Hoosiers erupted for eight runs in the fourth inning, capitalizing on timely hits and free passes to create separation. Indiana added a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth to extend the lead to 15-2.
Bradley pushed across its final run in the seventh. Peyton Nelson lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home a run, capping the Braves' offensive output.
Cal Leighton paced the Braves at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Jack Holubowski also drove in a run, while A.J. Garcia, Hayden Miller, Sohrab Rezaei, and Anthony Martinez each recorded a hit.
On the mound, Joey Cirelli (0-1) worked three innings, allowing four runs, three earned. Tristan Duke, Drew Politte, and Jackson Horras combined in relief as Bradley used four pitchers in the contest.
Indiana tallied 14 hits and drew eight walks. Denny led the Hoosiers with two home runs and four RBIs, while Hanley and Malamazia each added a home run.
