Johnson City, Tenn. – Bradley Baseball dropped both games of a Saturday doubleheader at Thomas Stadium as ETSU used early offensive surges to secure a 15–2 win in Game 1 and a 10–3 victory in Game 2.
Game 1: ETSU 15, Bradley 2
ETSU jumped out quickly in the opener, scoring three runs in the first inning before adding two more in the second to take a 5–0 lead. The Buccaneers continued to build momentum in the third inning, pushing the advantage to 8–0.
Bradley answered in the third. Luke Skinner delivered a two-run single to bring home Landon Lowe and Jaxon Schumacher, cutting the deficit to 8–2.
The Buccaneers responded with their biggest inning of the game in the fourth, scoring five runs to pull away before adding two more in the sixth to seal the victory.
Bradley collected six hits in the contest. Skinner led the offense with two hits and two RBIs while Hayden Miller added two hits. Lowe chipped in a double and a run scored.
Gavin Thompson started on the mound and was charged with the loss after allowing eight runs over three innings. Tristan Duke, Brady Appel, and Mason Lee combined to finish the game in relief.
ETSU totaled 11 hits and drew 10 walks, led by Axel Melendez who hit a home run and drove in four runs. Tyler Fetterman added three hits and two RBIs as the Buccaneers' offense stayed productive throughout the afternoon.
Game 2: ETSU 10, Bradley 3
ETSU carried that momentum into the second game of the day. After two scoreless innings, the Buccaneers broke through with four runs in the third inning and added another in the fourth to extend their lead.
A five-run fifth inning pushed the advantage to 10–0 before Bradley mounted a late push.
The Braves got on the board in the seventh inning with two runs and added another in the eighth. Michael Quick delivered an RBI hit while Angelo Aleman also drove in a run during the rally. Sohrab Rezaei later added a sacrifice fly to account for Bradley's third run of the game.
Bradley finished with seven hits in Game 2. Quick led the Braves with two hits and an RBI while Rezaei and Aleman each drove in a run. Landon Lowe, Hayden Miller, and Cal Leighton also recorded hits.
Calen Scheider started on the mound and worked four innings before Luke Leverton and Jackson Horras combined to finish the game out of the bullpen.
ETSU again produced 11 hits offensively. Henry Ferguson drove in two runs while Luke Matlock added a two-run home run to help power the Buccaneers to the doubleheader sweep.
