NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Bradley Baseball dropped game two of the weekend series to the Belmont Bruins on Saturday, 8-0.
A Slow Start
The Bruins jumped ahead early in the second with an RBI single. A fielder's choice plated a second run later in the inning to make it 2-0. Belmont added insurance runs in the third with a bases-loaded walk, a two-RBI double, and a sacrifice fly.
Belmont added two more runs in the fifth inning with an RBI fielder's choice and an RBI double to extend their lead to 8-0.
Standout Performances for Bradley
Luke Skinner tallied multi-hit games in back-to-back days, going 2-for-3 with a walk. River Lindsey had a hit in his only at-bat to extend his hitting streak to five while also recording a hit-by-pitch.
Peyton Nelson had two doubles across both games this weekend, as he went 1-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch in Saturday's matchup.
On the Mound
Robert Sanford made the start, throwing three innings and allowing six runs, three earned, on two hits and six walks while striking out three. Mason Lee relieved Sanford and threw two innings while yielding two runs on two hits.
