Brief Overview

Although he began his career as Bradley’s closer, Magee has developed into a frontline starter for the Braves ... Tall and slender, Magee can consistently throw his fastball in the low 90s.

 

2005 at Bradley

An honorable mention All-Missouri Valley Conference pick, Magee was Bradley’s No. 1 weekend starter and led the staff with 103 2/3 innings pitched ... Also led the team with seven wins, the most by a Brave since Rob Purvis went 7-5 in 1998 ... Finished seventh in the Valley in both wins and strikeouts (78) ... Went at least five innings in each of his 14 starts, averaging better than seven innings per start ... Tossed a 7-inning, 2-hit shutout in the first game of a doubleheader March 5 at Southeast Missouri State ... Fanned a career-high 11 hitters in the first game of a doubleheader March 19 against Michigan State ... Tossed his first career 9-inning complete game April 8 versus Southern Illinois, striking out nine in a 2-1 victory ... Allowed only a single  unearned run in 8.0 innings of work May 6 versus Evansville.

 

2004 at Bradley

Made the transition from closer to starter and shared the staff lead with five victories during his sophomore season ... Second on the staff with 69.0 innings pitched and averaged 5 2/3 innings in his 10 starts ... Hurled his first career complete game in the regular-season finale May 22, a 5-3 win at Illinois State.

 

2003 at Bradley

Magee led the staff with three saves, including one in his first career college appearance March 8 at Austin Peay ... Added saves in consecutive appearances March 30 versus Evansville and April 2 versus Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

 

High School

A three-time all-conference selection, Magee earned all-district honors in his final two seasons and was selected for the state All-Star game following his senior season ... As a senior, Magee posted a 7-5 record, while recording a 1.20 earned run average and 113 strikeouts against only 33 walks.
