A local product, Anderson began his college career at Augustana (Ill.) in 2007, then transferred to Bradley, making the team following a second tryout in the fall of 2008 ... In his return to his high school alma mater, Illinois Valley Central, for a May 1 doubleheader versus Calumet College, Anderson went 4-for-5 at the plate in the twinbill with two RBI's and a run scored ... Participated in a special graduation ceremony May 5, 2010 for Bradley's baseball and track and field athletes, earning his bachelor of science as a double-major in history and philosophy.

Anderson began his college career at Augustana, where he hit .250 with 17 doubles in 34 games during the 2007 season.

A local baseball product, Anderson led Illinois Valley Central High School to the 2006 "A" state championship as a senior ... Earned Illinois Baseball Coaches Association first team all-state honors in 2006 and was a two-time all-conference and Peoria Journal Star all-area selection ... Helped IVC win three regional championships, as well as the 2006 conference title ... Also played basketball for the Grey Ghosts, receiving second team all-tournament honors at the 2006 state tournament.
