2025-26 | BRADLEY - Graduate Senior
Alex Huibregtse appeared and started in all 34 of BU's games during the 2025-26 campaign averaging 31.1 minutes per game along with 12.8 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game, and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 43.9% from the floor and 43.3% from three-point range. Huibregtse ended the season earning All-MVC Third Team honors. Alex ended his lone season with the Braves as the programs leader in career three-point percentage (min of 150 attempts) at 43.3 percent. Against the Drake Bulldogs on 1/31/26, Huibregtse went 9/10 from three point range tying the program record for single-game made three-pointers and was later named as a United States Basketball Writers Association of America National Player of the Week. Huibregtse's 103 made three-pointers ranks third all-time for a single-season in program history.
2020-2025 | WRIGHT STATE
Over the course of his college basketball career, Alex has developed into a consistent and reliable contributor. In the 2024-25 season, he started all 32 games and averaged 33.8 minutes, posting 13.5 points per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range. He scored in double figures in 25 games and topped 15 points in 12 contests. His season-high 21 points and career-best seven three-pointers came against Purdue Fort Wayne on January 15, the same night he surpassed 1,000 career points. He also averaged 3.13 assists per game and recorded multiple rebounds in 24 games, with seven games of five or more.
During the 2023-24 season, he appeared in all 32 games with 31 starts, averaging 33.1 minutes and 12.3 points per game. He shot 52.5 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from beyond the arc. He scored in double digits 20 times, including a streak in the final nine games. He had a career-high 32 points in a win at Cleveland State on January 25 and recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 assists at Northern Kentucky on February 4. His 3.3 assists per game ranked ninth in the Horizon League, and his 2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio ranked third. In conference play, he was among the top 20 players in several categories including field goal percentage, assists, and minutes.
In 2022-23, he played in all 33 games and made 12 starts, averaging 23.7 minutes and 8.6 points per game. He reached double figures in 12 games and hit at least one three-pointer in 28 contests. He scored a then-career-best 25 points against Milwaukee on January 26. He grabbed multiple rebounds in 21 games, with a career-best six rebounds on three occasions.
His 2021-22 season was cut short due to a back injury after just three games. He made one start and scored nine points in 39 total minutes, while adding four rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.
As a freshman in 2020-21, he played in all 24 games and averaged 14.6 minutes per contest. He made 21 total baskets, with 19 coming from three-point range. He scored a season-high 12 points against Youngstown State on January 9, making four three-pointers in that game.
HIGH SCHOOL
He played high school basketball at Grafton High School, where he was a Wisconsin First Team All-State selection in Division 2 as a senior after averaging 24.2 points per game, shooting 47.3 percent from three-point range, and contributing 7.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. As a junior, he earned first-team all-league honors in the North Shore Conference after averaging 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. Upon graduating Alex's time at Grafton stands as one of their most successful periods for boys basketball having claimed the most wins in school history
PERSONAL
The son of Tim Huibregtse, Alex was born February 2nd of 2002. Alex chose Bradley due to their "Great community support, coaching staff and player retention". Once Alex's playing days are over he hopes to get into coaching. Outside of basketball, Alex enjoys golfing.
