• Lavin joined the Braves as a walk-on prior to the 2005-06 season and has appeared in 18 games in three seasons.

In High School
• A four-year letterman at Peoria Notre Dame H.S., Lavin earned all-conference honors in the tough Mid-State 6.
• Won the Irish Power Award for dedication and leadership.
• Team captain his senior season in 2004-05.
Off the Court
• Lavin’s father, Richard, played college football at Northwestern and Western Illinois, then played tight end in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots.
