A college basketball coaching veteran of 30 years, Greg Graham begins his third season on the Bradley coaching staff.
Including eight years as the head coach at Boise State from 2002-10, where he was the school's second-winningest coach with a 142-112 record, Graham brings 30 years of college coaching experience to the Bradley bench. Graham also posted an 18-5 record as the head coach at Western New Mexico during the 1984-85 season, giving him a 160-117 record in nine years as a collegiate head coach, and he has served as an assistant coach at Oregon (1982-83, 1997-2002); New Mexico (1983-84); San Jose State (1985-89); San Diego State (1989-92); and Saint Mary's (1992-97).
Graham was the 2008 Western Athletic Conference and NABC District 13 Coach of the Year after leading the Broncos to a school-record 25 wins, a sweep of the WAC regular-season and postseason tournament titles and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1994. The 2008 Boise State squad ranked third nationally by shooting 50.8 percent from the field, while also finishing seventh in assists per game (17.8), 10th in scoring (81.4 ppg) and 20th in 3-point field goal percentage (.393). The team also set school records for points scored (2,767), field goals made (994), 3-point field goals made (271) and assists (605).
In his second year at Boise State in 2003-04, Graham led the Broncos to a 23-10 record and became the first coach in program history to lead BSU to multiple postseason wins in the same season, NIT victories versus UNLV and Milwaukee.
In his second stint as an assistant at Oregon, Graham was the "offensive coordinator" for Ernie Kent's Ducks from 1997-2002, a 5-year stint that culminated with a Pac-10 regular-season championship and a run to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. The 2001-02 Ducks trailed only Kansas and Duke by averaging 85.9 points per game and ranked fourth nationally in scoring margin at 14.5 points per game.
Graham also helped Oregon to the NCAA Tournament in 2000 and the NIT semifinals in 1999. Overall, his teams have played in the postseason seven times in his last 14 years.
A 4-year letterman at Oregon, Graham helped the Ducks to three NIT trips as a player. The team captain as a senior, Graham earned his bachelor of science in biology from Oregon in 1978. He went on to earn a master's degree in educational administration from Dayton in 1982.
Upon graduation from Oregon, Graham began his coaching career at the prep level as an assistant at Eugene's Marist Catholic High School in 1978-79. While pursuing his post-graduate degree, he was the boys basketball head coach at Louisville (Ohio) High School from 1979-82.
Graham and his wife, Marsha, have two sons, Marcus (20) and Max (18).
