On The Court
? A three-year starter at point guard, Ruffin has logged more than 3,000 career minutes while helping the Braves to consecutive 22-win seasons, a first at Bradley since 1959 (25-4) and 1960 (27-2).
? Also has led the Braves to Sweet 16 appearances in the 2006 NCAA Tournament and 2007 MasterCard NIT, the first time Bradley has earned postseason victories in consecutive seasons since 1994 (2-1 NIT) and 1995 (1-1 NIT).
? Ruffin has been the Missouri Valley Conference active leader in career assists since the start of the 2006-07 season and he will enter the 2007-08 campaign as the nation’s active career leader with his 475 assists.
? Ruffin has led the Braves to a 7-4 record versus BCS-member teams while averaging 9.8 points and 5.3 assists in those 11 games.

Off The Court
? Ruffin was ruled a non-qualifier out of high school and was unable to compete as a true freshman during the 2003-04 season. After earning a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director’s Honor Roll with a minimum 3.0 GPA in three of his last four semesters, however, Ruffin regained his final year of eligibility by graduating in May with his bachelor’s degree in social work.
? Ruffin’s father, Dan Sr., played at Bradley from 1976-79 and took over as the boys basketball head coach at Peoria High School in 2004. The Ruffins are one of four father-son combinations to have played basketball at Bradley. Including Bradley’s 2006 postseason run with the younger Ruffin at the point, at least one-half of all four father-son combinations have played in the NCAA Tournament.
