2022-2026 Fort Hays State | Freshman-Junior
As a Junior, Grill started all 29 games, averaging 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 44.7 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from three-point range, and 70.1 percent from the free-throw line. He earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention for the second consecutive season, along with CSC Academic All-District honors and the MIAA Scholar-Athlete Award in 2026. He scored a season-high 22 points against Rogers State on January 22, 2026, and recorded a season-high 11 rebounds against Bethel on November 23, 2025.
During his sophomore campaign he earned All-MIAA Honorable Mention honors and was named to the MIAA All-Tournament Team, helping lead his team to an MIAA Tournament Championship. He started all 32 games and ranked second on the team in scoring at 11.6 points per game and in three-point field goals made with 52, while ranking third in rebounding at 4.6 per game and three-point percentage at .380. He scored in double figures 22 times, including a season-high 25 points at Washburn on January 30, 2025, when he also made a season-high 11 field goals. He recorded 20 or more points four times, hit a season-high four three-pointers in a game twice, and pulled down a season-high 11 rebounds against Arkansas-Fort Smith on February 8, 2025. He also tallied a season-high five assists and three steals against Concordia-St. Paul on November 9, 2024, recorded two blocked shots in a game twice, and made a season-high nine free throws at Rogers State on January 23, 2025. He earned CSC Academic All-District honors, was recognized as an MIAA Scholar-Athlete, and was named to the NABC Honors Court and the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
Kyle redshirted during his 2022-23 season but would then appear in 30 of 31 games in 2023-24, averaging 11.7 minutes, 3.1 points, and 1.5 rebounds per game. He scored in double figures once, posting a season-high 13 points at Pittsburg State on January 13, 2024, while shooting a perfect 6-for-6 from the field. He grabbed a season-high five rebounds against Central Oklahoma on February 10, 2024, recorded a season-high three assists at MSU Denver on November 19, 2023, and logged a season-high 25 minutes against Pittsburg State in the MIAA Tournament on March 9, 2024. He was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

During his time at Maize High School, Grill was named as a KBCA All-State First Team selection in Class 5A as a senior while averaging better than 15.0 PPG. He was also named as a KBCA All-State Second Team selection as a junior. Kyle helped lead his team to the Kansas Class 5A State Championship in 2020-21 and the state consolation game during his senior season and earned Multiple all-state selections from the Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle. Kyle was also a two-time All-Wichita Large School First Team selection by Vype and two-time All-AVCTL First Team selection. Away from basketball, Kyle also competed in Football and Track at the Varisty levels.
Personal
The son of Chris and Lena Grill, Kyle has two siblings (Caleb and Alec). His brother Caleb Grill was also a former college student-athlete, having played men's basketball at Iowa State from 2021-23, and Missouri from 2023-25. At Bradley Kyle will be majoring in Non-profit Leadership.
