One of 11 newcomers on Bradley’s 2015-16 squad, James signed with the Braves in May 2015 ... Appeared in 30 of the team's 32 games, averaging 3.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game ... Finished fifth on the team with 11 blocked shots and sixth with nine 3-pointers.

A three-year team captain, James was twice named team MVP and he had his uniform number retired by the Tarpon Springs High School boys basketball program after setting 14 school records ... Scored more than 1,500 career points and snared more than 1,000 career rebounds ... A 2015 Florida 5A second-team all-state selection ... Led the Spongers to a 32-2 record during his senior season, which culminated with a trip to the Florida Class 5A state tournament semifinals ... Averaged 19.5 points, 14 rebounds, 2.8 blocked shots, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game as a senior ... Made 65 3-point field goals in his final two seasons.

PERSONAL
The son of David and Christy James, Scottie was born Nov. 7, 1996 in Warsaw, IN ... The middle child among three siblings, Scottie’s sister is Hannah and brother is Micah ... Father, David, played collegiately at Grace (IN) College, as well as two years professionally in Portugal and Luxembourg.
