Biography

2024-25 | Freshman
Timoty van der Knaap's first season with the Braves was one that showed a lot of promise. He appeared in a total of 18 contests for the Braves and earned two starts during his first season. van der Knaap would play 11+ minutes per game in each of BU's 2025 NIT tourney games collecting a total of eight points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal. 

PRIOR TO BRADLEY
Timothy van der Knaap makes his way to Peoria as a 6-8 195lb true freshman guard and forward from Italy. van der Knaap made a name for himself on the international scene, posting 12.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in three seasons for his nation's U20 Developmental League team. His U20 playing days consist of an 18-point as well as a nine-rebound career-high performance. In 2023, van der Knaap wore his country's colors as he played for Italy in the FIBA U18 European Championships. He averaged 4.7 points and 2.6 rebounds across seven games. He will join Bradley this fall with all four years of eligibility remaining.
